I was watching a football game the other day and there was a particular play in which the wide receiver scored a touchdown. He made a great catch and ran almost the length of the field to score. The entire stadium full of people cheered wildly as the player and the team celebrated their touchdown. God says in HIS Word that we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Have you thought about that? As we go through our lives as Christians, we are actually cheered on by those in Heaven who have gone on before us, and you don’t have to be in a football stadium. How exciting is that?
As you go through this week, remind yourself how those heroes who have gone before you have paved the way for you to carry on your Christian Faith and don’t lose sight of their sacrifice.
